Proud Leos are always the ones who stand out among the crowd. You’re extremely confident, creative, passionate, but you do have your ‘other side’ that is not so charming. When you indulge yourself too much, you might come off as arrogant, stubborn, and quite self-centered person.

Leos often identify themselves as the ‘chosen ones’, which means you want your novel with a big story full of kings, armies, and aristocracy. May even see yourself fighting in a grand war against the forces of evil. But here is something more realistic. As in most of his works, Galsworthy presents us the leading class of Victorian England and its struggle to either change and adapt to new times, or to vanish with its own rules and principles. Born as a nobleman and member of aristocracy, Galsworthy describes this world with great realism and detail, giving the proper picture of aristocracy in a nutshell.

Oh Scorpios, you sure are the tricky ones. Resourceful, brave and passionate, you tend to seek for the truth of all things. If there is something you cannot tolerate, it is dishonesty and lies. You hide your emotions well, but if someone betrays your trust, you can become jealous, secretive, and even violent.

André Gide is a writer for you. During his time, this brilliant writer was adored and detested at the same time, but he was never afraid to take on a subject and look at it through symbolic, metaphorical lens. Social Contract Jean Jacques Rousseau

The Social Contract

by Jean Jacques Rousseau

Capricorns, you have the ultimate virtues of hard workers, which can easily make every zodiac sign a bit jealous. You’re responsible, disciplined, with amazing self-control, but you also can be overly unforgiving and condescending. What you need is a book that will feed your intellectual mind and expose you to philosophical ideas.

The Social Contract is a book in which Rousseau theorizes about the best way to establish a political community in the face of the problems of commercial society. The Social Contract inspired political reforms and revolutions in Europe, especially in France. It argued against the idea that monarchs were divinely empowered to legislate. Rousseau asserts that only the people, who are sovereign, have that all-powerful right. Politics, philosophy, place of individual in society, civil rights, everything that usually preoccupies Capricorns mind is present in this great work.

1984 George Orwell

by George Orwell

Aquarians are all about originality, ingenuity, humanitarian sciences and absolute rights of the individual. You’re progressive and independent, as well as often temperamental and uncompromising. Your greatest fear is to be confined, and to see how human rights are being violated. So, here is the book which scenario might terrify every Aquarian.

1984 is a dystopian novel set in Airstrip One (formerly known as Great Britain), a province of the superstate Oceania in a world of perpetual war, omnipresent government surveillance, and public manipulation, dictated by a political system euphemistically named English Socialism. Whole society is under the control of a privileged elite of the Inner Party, which persecutes individualism and independent thinking as ‘thoughtcrime’. Do I hear a rebel waking in you, Aquarius?

The Master and Margarita MihailBulgakov

The Master and Margarita

by Mikhail Bulgakov

Pisces are intuitive, compassionate, and artistic. Your virtues can remain invisible as you tend to be afraid that someone might criticize you. As a very private person, you often fantasize about escaping into other reality. Although you do daydream a lot, there is nothing wrong with being a dreamer and I do have a book that will delight you.

The Master and Margarita is a master piece in which you will find a lot of interesting topics, including religion, superstition, important historical events and perhaps the most important of all for them, a love story. The novel combines two distinct yet interwoven parts—one set in ancient Jerusalem, one in contemporary Moscow. Experience wild theatricality with violent storms, vampire attacks, and a Satanic ball; somber scenes as the meeting of Pilate and Yeshua; to the circus-like reality of Moscow. Pisces, you will love this one.
